ISCC Hockey Coaches

Joe Giordano is thrilled to be joining the ISCC team. Giordano spent the last 6 seasons as a coach with the men’s ice hockey program at Connecticut College in the NESCAC. He was responsible for assisting with all aspects of the program with an emphasis on recruiting, video, system implementation and individual skill development. Giordano also has head coaching experience at the U19 girls’ level as well as the U18 boys Tier 1 level.

Prior to his coaching career, Giordano played at Loomis Chaffee before heading to the junior ranks for the Springfield Pics in the Eastern Junior Hockey League and the Bismarck Bobcats in the North American Hockey League.

A native of Enfield, Connecticut, Giordano graduated from Connecticut College with a bachelor’s degree in history and economics, where he was a member of the NESCAC All-Academic Team and team captain his senior year.

Mark is the Associate Director of Admissions, as well as Associate Head Coach of the Varsity Hockey team at Avon Old Farms School.

Prior playing experience includes being a two-time captain on the Brown University men’s Division 1 hockey team and several years of professional hockey.

Justine Reyes is a professional hockey player for the CT Whale of the Premier Hockey Federation. Reyes skated for St. Lawrence University winning the Bernie MacKinnon Most Valuable Player award. She competed with ESC Planegg in the DFEL, Germany’s top women’s hockey league as well as SDHL’s Linköping HC.

Lenka Serdar is a professional hockey player for the CT Whale of the Premier Hockey Federation. Serdar's experience includes a four year career at Cornell University, DFEL’s ECDC Memmingen, HC Přibram in Czechia, TPS in Naisten-Liiga and Linköping HC in Sweden. She also played for Team Czechia at the 2021 IIHF Women’s World Championship and on the 2022 Olympic Team.

Taylor Leech, a native of Bowdoinham, Maine, embarked on her hockey journey at Hebron Academy, where she honed her skills on the ice. Her dedication to the sport led her to the University of Maine, where she played Division I hockey for an impressive five years. Notably, she served as the team's captain for two of those years while pursuing a degree in biology pre-med. Taylor's love for hockey extended beyond her colligate career. She ventured into professional hockey, playing in Lugano, Switzerland, during the 22-23 season. Currently, she continues to make her mark in the sport as an assistant captain for Leksand IF in the SDHL.

Taylor's passion for the game also translated into coaching. She spent five years contributing her expertise at UMaine hockey camps, and later, she led a weekly camp in Maine, where she mentored young hockey enthusiasts ranging from 8 to 18 years old while assisting college-level instruction.
